From October 16 to 20 the Latvian National Museum of Natural History will host the magnificent and rich autumn harvest exhibition "Pumpkins and peppers 2024". A wide range of different varieties of pumpkins and peppers will be on display at the end-of-season horticultural exhibition, calling attention to both their visual diversity and taste characteristics, as well as their importance in promoting health.
The exhibition is curated in cooperation with Artūrs Silde Gardening Enthusiasts Club "Tomāts". Pumpkins and peppers are surprising in their different sizes, shapes, colors and flavors. The exhibition will showcase well-known and popular pumpkin and pepper varieties, as well as some of the new varieties that are all grown by local collectors in their own gardens. As usual, a special place in the exhibition will be dedicated to the pepper crop, offering to see both sweet pepper and hot pepper varieties.
Everyone will be able to find and buy the perfect seeds to suit their liking, and then next year, grow them in their own gardens. The seeds have been registered with the State Plant Protection Service of the Republic of Latvia.
